On January 10, the largest bulk carrier "Feicui Putuo" independently developed by Guangdong Province was delivered in Nansha District, Guangzhou Province.

The ship is a first new Panamax environment-friendly 85000 ton bulk cargo ship designed and built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipping Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huangpu Wenchong") under China shipbuilding group. Its performance indicators such as fuel consumption, speed, cabin capacity and environmental protection have reached the world leading level, marking a new step in the R&D and construction capacity of Guangdong shipbuilding industry.

With a total length of 228.9 meters, a ship width of 36.0 meters, a depth of 20.15 meters, a design draft of 11.8 meters, a structural draft of 14.0 meters, a carrying capacity of 85600 tons and a cargo hold capacity of 106000 cubic meters, Feicui Putuo is suitable for loading bulk cargo such as coal, ore, grain and cement.

Huangpu Wenchong is the largest military ship, official ship, marine engineering construction and support base in South China, as well as the leading enterprise of feeder container ship and dredger.In the development stage of the new Panamax 85000 ton bulk carrier, Huangpu Wenchong maintained close contact and communication with all parties, so that the ship has been recognized by Bureau Veritas(BV), Lloyd’s Register of Shipping (LR), DET Norske Veritas (DNV) and China Classification Society (CCS), laying a foundation for its success in entering the domestic and foreign markets.

It is understood that Huangpu Wenchong has obtained 8 orders for this type of ship since it was introduced to the market. The first ship "Feicui Putuo" has been chartered by large American shipping companies and will be mainly used to transport soybeans, corn and other grains on American routes.
Xiang Huiming, Chairman of China Shipbuilding Huangpu Wenchong, introduced the new Panamax 85,000-ton environmental protection bulk carrier as a new and upgraded product, which is not only technologically advanced, but also applies advanced shipbuilding technologies such as intelligent welding robots, digital docks and simulated carrying during the construction process. The total construction cycle of the first production vessel took only a record nine months, which improved production efficiency and quality and facilitated the integration of design, manufacturing and service for shipbuilding enterprises.
