On January 23, Hudong Zhonghua Shipbuilding (Group) Co., LTD., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation, signed the delivery of the 13,500-ton multi-purpose Heavy Lift ship "UHL FRESH" built by Germany's United Heavy Lift (UHL). This is the company's first ship delivered in the New Year, in order to achieve the annual completion of 20 ships, revenue of 23 billion yuan task target set a good start.

    The ship has a total length of 149.99 meters, a width of 25.6 meters, a design draft of 6.8 meters, a service speed of 15.3 knots, and is listed in DNV classification Society. Installed the world's first new host, with SCR exhaust emission denitrification treatment device, NOX to meet the Tier III emission requirements, meet the latest SOX emission requirements.

    At the same time, the ship is equipped with two 450 tons of crane, which can flexibly load major pieces of equipment of various sizes, meet the various loading needs of shipowners, and meet the latest emission requirements. The design has the characteristics of green, energy saving and environmental protection.

    The 13,500-ton multi-purpose heavy lifting ship is known as the "giant on the sea" and is a classic product built by Hudong China. Since 2018, the company has built a total of 13 vessels in 3 batches, forming a leading position in this special vessel segment.

    In the construction, the company has overcome a series of difficulties such as capacity transfer, design and construction conditions change, and has constantly made breakthroughs in lean construction and innovative management, and high-quality construction has been praised by all parties.

    2024 is the launch year of Huidong China's relocation of Changxing Island, and it is also a key year for accelerating the implementation of the LNG production capacity doubling strategy. It is understood that Hudong China plans to complete 20 ships in 2024, with an operating income of 23 billion yuan, of which 7-8 large liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships are planned to be delivered within the year, and strive to push China's LNG ship construction level to a new height.
