"East Lake Star" 27 meters long, 6 meters wide, 1.6 meters deep, using Ningde times Marine power battery system, can accommodate 58 passengers, the design of the maximum speed ≥15km/h, has been put into operation. This is the first electric ship in Fujian Province to obtain the "Green ship-3" symbol of China Classification Society, and is also the first electric sightseeing boat in Ningde City, mainly used for sightseeing in Ningde East Lake.

In addition to the "East Lake Star", the world's largest load of pure electric tourist ship "Three Gorges 1", China's first hybrid dual-power large-scale coastal tourist ship "Greater Bay Area No. 1" are also equipped with Ningde era Marine power battery system.

Ningde Times said that the company is the world's first electric ship full life cycle solution provider. At present, more than 500 new energy ships equipped with Ningde era Marine power batteries have been put into use around the world.

In addition to providing Marine battery systems, in 2023, Ningde Times also released the industry's first collaborative operation cloud platform for the whole life cycle of new energy ships and the first comprehensive zero-carbon charging and replacement energy replenishment solution for Ningde Times to solve the digital needs of various ship application scenarios and meet the rapid replenishment needs of electric ships.

In terms of market prospects, recently, research institutions EVTank, Ivey Economic Research Institute and China Battery Industry Research Institute jointly issued the "White Paper on the Development of China's electric Ship Industry (2024)". The white paper pointed out that by the end of 2023, the number of electric ships in China has exceeded 700, and the number of new ships in the year has exceeded 200, driving the shipment of lithium batteries for ships to reach 0.61GWh, an increase of more than 80%, and becoming one of the fastest growing industries in the downstream application field of lithium batteries.

EVTank said in the white paper that the rapid development of electric ships and ship power replacement will drive the rapid growth of demand for lithium batteries, which is expected to reach 1.4GWh for Marine lithium batteries by 2025 and 21.9GWh by 2030.
