In recent years, focusing on the crew, truck drivers, sanitation workers, taxi and online car drivers, migrant workers and construction workers and other labor groups, the China Seafarers Construction Union strengthened overall coordination, according to the need to take measures, constantly increase the source of participation, effectively improve the effectiveness of rights protection services, and promote a number of employee groups urgent problems to be solved.

    In order to better understand the needs of employees, the China Seafarers Construction Union has always taken investigation and research as the main starting point for its work, and has continued to carry out investigations around the staff groups and trade unions in key industries such as crew, truck drivers, online car drivers, and tower cranes. More than 40 national research reports and 260 local research reports, including the ninth survey on the status of the Chinese Seafarers' Construction Union, have been completed to timely reflect the practical difficulties faced by workers.     Since 2019, the China Seafarers' Construction Union has participated in the formulation of more than 50 documents of various industries, compiled the Judicial Case Analysis of Seafarers' Rights Protection, the Manual of Migrant Workers' Rights Protection Services, put forward the Proposal on the Introduction of Seafarers' Personal Income tax exemption Policy, and pushed the state to adjust the collection standard of seafarers' personal income tax. For three consecutive years, the effectiveness of the construction industry to ensure the payment of migrant workers' wages has been evaluated, and policy suggestions on facilitating nucleic acid testing for truck drivers and providing services for in-transit drivers during the epidemic have been adopted by relevant policy documents.

    In 2018, an activity benefiting the national truck driver group kicked off - the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and the Ministry of Transport jointly launched the construction of "driver homes", relying on highway service areas, national and provincial trunk gas stations, logistics parks and other service facilities to build more than 1,300 "driver homes" to provide economic, safe and practical services for truck drivers. So that truck drivers can "eat a hot meal, drink hot water, take a hot bath, stop the car."

    Today, under the specific implementation and promotion of the China Seafarer Construction Union, the "Driver's Home" serves more than 5 million truck drivers annually, and has become an important service position for truck drivers to understand the trade union, join the trade union, and trust the trade union. At the same time, pay attention to the demonstration and leading role of model workers, shout "traffic construction craftsmen", "the most beautiful truck driver", "the most beautiful taxi driver" and other publicity brands, widely carry out the theme of "100 model workers into the front line" in the transportation construction industry, and actively publicize and implement the spirit of the Party's 20 major conventions in the way of "theoretical propaganda + artistic performance". A total of more than 200 "new era model worker craftsman speakers" were selected and hired, and 62 special demonstration lectures were carried out across the country, and grassroots enterprise unions were led to carry out a series of propaganda activities for more than 2,000 times, covering tens of millions of employees offline and online, and the spirit of model workers, labor spirit and craftsman spirit were further promoted in the whole industry.

Over the past five years, centering on major national strategies and key projects, eight national labor and skill competitions, including the "National Leading Labor and Skill Competition for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Coordinated Development of Transportation Integration", have been launched throughout the system, more than 6,000 regional and enterprise labor and skill competitions, and nearly 20,000 work safety and safety education and training activities have been held.     In the transportation construction system, innovation and efficiency are continuously optimized. Not only was the "Port Craftsman Innovation Alliance" project identified as the first batch of national pilot projects for "production reform", the China Seafarers' Construction Union also formulated institutional documents such as the Opinions on Promoting the Training of Highly skilled Talents in the New Era, vigorously carried out the construction of craftsman colleges, and constantly deepened the construction of model workers and craftsman talent innovation studios.
