Green and low carbon! The world's first carbon capture converted bulk carrier has been launched in the Yangtze River Estuary
On January 18, the world's first carbon capture converted bulk carrier "Akimo" sailed from the Qidong Huazi Energy Terminal in Jiangsu Province to the relevant waters for trial. Jiangsu Qidong border inspection Station actively forward service, front-loading, one-stop clearance procedures, efficient protection of ship clearance.
It is reported that shipboard carbon capture system (OCCS) is the application of carbon capture technology on the ship, it will be the separation and capture of carbon dioxide in the exhaust gas or fuel from the ship, and be transported to the destination for resource utilization or injected into the seabed or strata to prevent it from entering the atmosphere, so as to achieve the permanent reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from the ship.
As a disruptive carbon emission reduction technology, OCCS provides the possibility for ships to achieve significant carbon emission reduction under the use of mature and low-cost traditional fossil fuels, and provides a feasible path for the green and low-carbon development of the shipping industry, which has attracted wide attention in the shipping market.
The time of the ship modification is tight and the efficiency of customs clearance is high. After receiving the enterprise declaration, Qidong border inspection Station took the initiative to visit the needs, stick to solve the problem, communicate with the joint inspection units and port and shipping enterprises in advance, and customized the "one ship and one policy" customs clearance program around the various links of ship entry, berth shifting operations, and ship docking to the exit trial voyage.
On the day of the first voyage, the station insisted on "no reduction in inspection standards, no reduction in service effect, and no reduction in customs clearance efficiency", and maximized customs clearance efficiency through measures such as "one-stop" service, synchronous hull inspection, and fast handling of border inspection procedures, achieving "zero waiting" and "zero delay" for the ship's first voyage.
In recent years, the station has thoroughly implemented the National Immigration Administration's "Ten Measures to promote the construction of the Yangtze River Delta Shipping Hub" and "Sixteen new measures to promote the development of shipping enterprises" and other service measures, taking the service ship manufacturing and Marine equipment industry chain as an important growth pole for the high-quality development of service ports, constantly optimizing the ship customs clearance process and simplifying customs clearance procedures. Contribute to the quality development of Qidong port export-oriented economy.
