Hainan Hemao International Shipping Co., LTD., a subsidiary of Guohai Chuanglian Industrial Group, imported and transferred the "Fuguo" ship from overseas, and recently successfully completed the nationality certificate in the Hainan maritime department, marking the first Chinese livestock carrier officially naturalized in the "China Yangpu Port". Up to now, the number of international ships naturalized in the "China Yangpu Port" is 44.

    "Fuguo" ship is a 660TEU container carrier converted from 6400 square meters of fully enclosed cattle and sheep transport ship, adding 8 layers of semi-fenced decks on the basis of the original ship, can transport 5,000 cattle or 16,000 sheep at a time. The ship has a total length of 132.82 meters, a width of 19.94 meters, a depth of 9.2 meters, a total weight of more than 11,000 tons, mainly used for transporting live cattle and sheep. When the ship was naturalized in the "China Yangpu Port", it also enjoyed the "zero tariff" policy of the Hainan Free Trade Port for operating vehicles and yachts, and was exempt from import duties and import value-added tax.

    "We plan to import a second 6,400-square-meter livestock carrier this year." Li Zhimin, vice president of Guohai Chuanglian Industrial Group, introduced that in addition to imports from abroad, the follow-up will also be ordered in the country to build a large livestock transport ship, and it is planned to build a livestock transport fleet in 3 years to help the construction of free trade port.
