On February 25, the 2024 world-class port Group construction (Rizhao) project of Shandong Port Group was put into operation and the new project was started. Provincial Port Group Party secretary, chairman Huo Plateau, Party Committee Standing Committee, deputy general manager Sun Zhengfu, Han Enze; Li Zaiwu, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Wang Xinsheng, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, Jia Gang, Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor attended the event.

    In his speech, Wang Xinsheng said that Rizhao is prosperous because of the port and the sea, the strategic position of coordinating access and connecting the north and the south is prominent, and in recent years, it has deeply promoted the "three areas of mutual integration" with Shandong Port Group and continued to accelerate the integrated development of Hong Kong and city, opening a new chapter of "strong port, revitalizing production and living city".

    This year is the "comprehensive breakthrough year" of Shandong Port Group and the "project breakthrough year" of Rizhao City, and the linkage breakthrough of Hong Kong and land coincides with each other. Rizhao City will fully serve to promote the newly completed projects to put into operation as soon as possible, and the new projects to be started as soon as possible, while relying on the "one port and two channels" to seize new traffic, expand new space, enhance the port service city level, and create a gateway city along the yellow land and sea passage.

    It is hoped that Shandong Port Group will gather more supply chain, industrial chain, information chain, financial chain and other projects to Rizhao, so that more port resources and hub advantages will become the economic flow and industrial increase of Rizhao's high-quality development, and jointly create a better future of integrated development of port and city.

    Sun Zhengfu said in his speech that all along, the Rizhao Municipal Committee and the municipal government have devoted their attention and support to the development of the port and made every effort to promote the high-quality development of the port. Shandong port will always integrate into Rizhao, deeply cultivate Rizhao, serve Rizhao as a duty, with the same direction, and seek common development, will take project construction as the starting point, accelerate the construction of world-class port group in Shandong Province, and contribute "port" force to help the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the pilot area and Rizhao modern coastal city construction.

    At the ceremony, the participating leaders jointly launched the world-class port group construction (Rizhao) completion project and the start of new projects, a total of 27, with a total investment of 53.6 billion yuan.
