On February 28, China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC) Qingdao Beihai Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and China Shipbuilding Industry Trading Co., Ltd. signed a contract with Singapore's Eastern Pacific Shipping Company to build four more Ammonia DF/DF Ready bulk carriers of 210,000 tons.

    The 210,000-ton Ammonia DF/DF Ready bulk carrier was independently designed by CSDC, a design company of Beihai Shipbuilding. The vessel has a total length of 300 meters, a width of 50 meters and a depth of 25.2 meters. It can meet the requirements of Phase III of the Ship Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI) index, while the ship meets the ammonia fuel preset, and the ammonia fuel main engine will be configured in the later stage to ensure that ammonia fuel can be used in the future to achieve "zero carbon" operation throughout the ship's life cycle. After undertaking this project, Beihai Shipbuilding will continue to pay attention to the follow-up design, procurement, production planning and preparation and construction of the project, strengthen the control of all aspects, and closely communicate with the shipowner, so as to jointly build and deliver a batch of green, energy-saving, environmentally friendly and efficient world class ships for Singapore East Pacific Shipping Company.

    According to reports, since the effective of the 10 ship construction contracts between the two parties, Beihai Shipbuilding has actively deployed the design, procurement, production preparation and other work of the project, and maintained close and good communication with the shipowner, successfully contributing to the effective signing of the four ships. At present, the number of cooperative orders between the two parties on this ship type has reached 14, which fully reflects Singapore East Pacific Shipping company's high recognition of the North Sea shipbuilding brand and full trust in the design and construction capabilities.
