The world's largest deadweight cargo ship for most purposes sailing at full load

    On March 6, Tongzhou Bay Lv four start port area, busy and orderly. Under the supervision and maintenance of Nantong Maritime Safety Administration, the Liberian general cargo ship "Pilecki" loaded 11 sets of domestic wind turbines and set sail smoothly to Egypt, a country along the "Belt and Road".

    Pilecki has a load capacity of 61,747 tons, a total length of 199.9 meters, and a design draft of 11.3 meters. As one of the world's largest multi-purpose heavy lifting ships with deadweight tonnage, Pilecki has been selected in the Royal Institution of Naval Architects' "World Famous Ships in 2021". It is understood that the 11 sets of wind turbines loaded on this voyage total 190 pieces, about 59,658 square meters, will be used for Egypt's GOSII project wind power project.

    In order to ensure the operation and navigation safety of the vessel, Nantong Maritime Safety Bureau sorted out the anchoring situation of the vessels in the Lu4 encircled harbor basin in advance, organized the traffic in an orderly manner, and ensured the smooth navigation channel of the navigation waters. Cooperate with other port joint inspection units to simplify the administrative approval process, so as to facilitate ships to complete the relevant formalities of port inspection efficiently, quickly and smoothly; Combined with the supervision requirements of large restricted ships, give full play to the role of all-factor water "big traffic management", and combine scientific supervision means with on-site supervision of law enforcement personnel to ensure the smooth sailing of ships.

    Nantong Port Lv Fourth Operation Area is a major landmark project to build a new gateway to the opening up of the "Belt and Road", a new hub of river-sea combined transport in the Yangtze River Economic Belt, and a new model of high-quality development in the Yangtze River Delta. With the smooth entry of large international shipping ships such as Pilecki and the continuous delivery of new cargo types, the characteristics of large ships in Nantong Port Lv4 operation area have become more distinct.
