The world's first CNG transport ship was delivered

    On March 6, CIMC Pacific Marine Shipyard dock fluttering flags, golden dragons flying, gongs and drums, by CIMC Shijiazhuang Anruike gas Machinery Co., LTD., CIMC Marine Engineering Design and Research Institute, Hantang Shipyard and CIMC SOE participated in the design and manufacture of the world's first CNG transport ship project delivery naming ceremony was held here.

    Leaders and representatives from CIMC Enric Holdings, the Indonesian owner, ABS and BKI Classification Society of Indonesia, ETI, design and manufacturing, etc. attended the event.

    The cargo hold system of the delivery ship and the named world's first CNG carrier is composed of hundreds of high-pressure cylinders, pressure regulation and highly integrated control systems designed and manufactured by Shijiazhuang Anruike in accordance with international standards.

    The ship is powered by natural gas, dual fuel main engine drive, the length of 110 meters, the design speed of 14 knots, classified into the American Classification Society (ABS) and Indonesian Classification Society (BKI) double classification society, reaching the international leading level.

    After delivery, it will serve inter-island natural gas transportation of the national peaking power plant in Indonesia, with a capacity of up to 700,000 cubic meters of compressed natural gas per voyage.

    Cimc Shijiazhuang Anruike, with the world's leading natural gas storage and transportation equipment manufacturing capacity, won the world's first natural gas CNG carrier project order. During the construction of the ship, under the leadership of CIMC Group, all relevant enterprises in the Group cooperated with each other to overcome difficulties, breaking through many problems such as the overall layout, cargo system, fuel system, security system, navigation performance and structural strength design of CNG transport ships.

    At the same time, poured into the Indonesian owners, partners ETI company and two classification societies and other units a lot of effort and support, creating another successful model of complementary advantages, collaborative innovation.

    CNG carriers provide an alternative solution for the transportation of natural gas, filling the gap in the form of maritime transportation of natural gas. As an important part of the natural gas industry chain, the delivery and commercial operation of this vessel opens a new chapter in the global CNG transportation industry, and also makes a beneficial exploration for the future maritime transportation of hydrogen in the future.
