On March 27, the CCS-class multi-purpose deck transport ship "Lanhai Hongyun" invested by Hainan Lanhai Shipping Co., Ltd. was launched in Nanjing, Jiangsu province.

    The ship is 172.8 meters long and 40.2 meters wide, with a load capacity of 29,000 tons, a full speed of 16kn, and a deck load bearing capacity of 28t/㎡ to 30t/㎡. The ship has four generator sets and is propelled by dual hybrid power.

    As a multi-purpose deck transport ship, "Lanhai Hongyun" ship is suitable for heavy equipment and offshore wind power equipment, but also can load containers, to meet the international trade import and export capacity.

    In addition, the ship is also equipped with the DP-2 dynamic positioning system and four-point anchoring positioning system of the same type as the polar research icebreaker "Snow Dragon 2", which can adapt to the sea wind and waves and different hydrological conditions, providing a guarantee for navigation safety.

    It is understood that after the launch of the "Lanhai Hongyun" ship, the ship's inspection and trial operation will be carried out one after another, and it is expected to be officially delivered for operation in June 2024.
