On the morning of April 22, the world's first Jiang-sea-direct pure electric container ship "COSCO Shipping Greenwater 01" safely docked at the No.1 berth of Shengdong Wharf of Yangshan Port under the remote electronic escort of the Maritime Safety Bureau of Yangshan Port.

    This is the world's largest, the world's first 10,000-ton pure electric container ship, the ship fixed shuttle from Nanjing to Yangshan port.

    It is understood that the total length of the "COSCO Shipping Green water 01" is 119.8 meters, the width of the type is 23.6 meters, the depth of the type is 9 meters, the design draft is 5.5 meters, the maximum speed is 19.4 km/h, 8261 gross tons.

    In terms of electric container ship length, type width, packing number, deadweight tons and battery capacity, it is the first in the world.

    The ship can also flexibly configure the number of battery boxes according to the needs of the voyage, which effectively solves the problems of long charging time, low loading capacity and short driving range of traditional electric container ships.

    The ship can save 3,900 kilograms of fuel for every 100 nautical miles, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 12.4 tons, and save energy costs of about 33,500 yuan.
