Another Chinese consolidation company was established
Recently, a new container Shipping company, STF Shipping, was officially established and put into operation. The company was registered in Hong Kong at the end of last year, but its headquarters is located in Shanghai, China, and has branches in Ningbo, Seoul, Vladivostok (Vladivostok) and Nakhodka. The name STF symbolizes Safety, Timeliness and Flexibility, reflecting the company's core values and service philosophy.
STF Shipping currently operates a fleet of six supported container vessels with a capacity of between 1,100 and 2,200 equivalent units (TEU), These include "Xin Hua Yuan" (1170 TEU), "Xin Long Yun 89" (1744 TEU), "Xin Long Yun 88" (1118 TEU), "Mao Gang Quan Zhou" and "Mao Gang Guang Zhou "(2206 TEU each), and Xin Long Yun 16 (1118 TEU). It is worth noting that the ships were previously owned by another cargo carrier, CStar Line, which withdrew its service from the Far East to Russia in mid-September this year.
Taking over from CStar Line, STF Shipping uses its existing fleet to launch five route services covering the Far East, Southeast Asia and the Russian Far East, including:
STF-1, operated by the "Xin Hua Yuan" ferry, is a bi-weekly service between Dalian, Tianjin and Vostochn. STF-2 loop line is divided into two parts, the first part is by "Xin Long Yun 89" round trip every ten days between Rizhao and Voyeongang; The second part was performed by the "Xin Long Yun 88" with the same frequency, but between Ningbo and Vostochny. STF-3 Loop line is also divided into two parts, the first part by the "Mao Gang Quan Zhou" and "Mao Gang Guang Zhou" two ships alternately or jointly executed, once a week, in turn to Yantian, Nansha, Xiamen, Shanghai, Oriental port, and then return to Yantian; The second section is carried out by the "Xin Long Yun 16", which has not yet set a fixed operating period, and connects Busan, Shanghai and Vostochny.
Despite the downward pressure on freight rates from East Asia to the Russian Far East due to the fact that many trunk operators have chosen to avoid Russia following the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, STF Shipping, as a new entrant, continues to launch new services together with existing operators, demonstrating its confidence in the Far East route market. It is reported that the current container traffic continues to be depressed, and the freight rate has dropped to about $1,600 / TEU, compared with $2,300 / TEU last month.
In this context, Fesco launched an intra-Asia service on August 17, connecting Port Klang, Ho Chi Minh City and further connecting to its Russian routes. Specifically, goods can be shipped north to Vladivostok via Ho Chi Minh City, or west to Novorossiysk and St. Petersburg via Port Klang, providing a new logistics corridor for trade flows between Asia and Russia.
STF Shipping also plans to add Southeast Asian ports to its route network in the near future to further expand its business scope.
With its clear strategic positioning, flexible route layout and professional fleet management, STF Shipping is gradually emerging in China and even the international container shipping market, bringing new vitality and opportunities to the industry.
