On the morning of November 20, 2024, Zhenjiang Shipyard developed and built the 15600DWT (deadweight ton) wind power carrier No. 1 for the transport of offshore wind power components for European customers - "Rotra Futura" Shunli Jishui.

    It is reported that the ship is a new generation of advanced offshore wind power transport ship independently developed and produced by Zhenjiang Shipyard. The length of the ship is 167.6 meters, the width is 26 meters, the design draft is 7.3 meters, the deadweight ton is 15,600, the deck area is about 3500m2, and the ship is equipped with three Liebherr cranes and a unique 1500T heavy load stern door and positioning pile system. It can complete the loading and unloading of offshore wind power components in very small dock conditions.

    The ship's hydrodynamic optimisation and Wartsila's state-of-the-art propulsion system offer significant advantages over current standard ship types, reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions by 15%. The smooth construction of the ship will also improve transportation efficiency, reduce transportation costs, and enhance environmental performance, providing strong support for the rapid development of the global offshore wind power industry.

    In order to ensure the smooth launch of the new shipbuilding, Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Bureau gave full play to its professional advantages, moved forward in service, and opened up "green channels" through measures such as first inquiry responsibility system, one-stop management, "one-to-one" consultation, and timely completion, to improve service quality and efficiency.

    United Zhenjiang Shipyard carefully formulated a thorough operation plan, adopted the "VTS+ site" interaction mode to accurately grasp the ship's navigation dynamics, dispatched 3 coast patrol boats and 1 escort boat to participate in on-site maintenance and support, implemented the whole process of monitoring and reminding, and comprehensively maintained the safe launching and berthing of newly built ships.

    In recent years, in order to implement the requirements of Jiangsu Maritime Safety Bureau to serve the construction of "water transport Jiangsu", Zhenjiang Maritime Safety Bureau has actively served the construction of Zhenjiang Marine equipment and high-tech ship characteristic supporting cluster, cooperated with Zhenjiang City to carry out high-tech ship frontier technology research, supported Zhenjiang Shipyard and Dajin Heavy Industry to make special ships better and stronger, and committed to building the largest special ship manufacturing base in Asia.
